(Malibu, CA) -- The mayor of Malibu is calling out Kourtney Kardashian,
claiming she lied on a permit application. Mayor Bruce Silverstein says
Kardashian misrepresented the nature of a party thrown at a mansion on
Saturday. Silverstein claims the event was represented as a baby shower
being hosted by the owner of the property. In reality, he says, the house
was rented out for a large influencer event. Silverstein is asking for an
internal investigation to determine if any city employees were "complicit" in
what he calls fraud, after the permit was granted on an emergency expedited
basis. Silverstein says he will address the issue during today's city
council meeting.

(New York, NY) -- The opening bell rings this morning after stocks fell on
Friday, further extending the week's loses on Wall Street. The major indexes
slid for a fourth session as investors reacted to a surge in bond yields.
Growing concerns about a possible government shutdown and another likely
interest rate hike also rattled markets. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones
Industrial Average lost 105 points to 33-963. The S & P 500 dropped nearly ten
points to 43-20. The Nasdaq fell 12 points to 13-211.

(Dearborn, MI) -- Michigan's average gas price is down seven-cents a gallon
in the past week to three-dollars-65-cents. Triple-A Michigan says the price
is down 15-cents from last month and 24-cents less than last year. The most
expensive fuel is in Marquette at three-78, while Grand Rapids has the most
affordable gas at three-54 a gallon. A 15-gallon fill up costs on average 54-
dollars in Michigan.

(Austin, TX) -- The top five cities where homes sell above asking prices
are all in New York and California. Moving Feedback, a Texas-based platform
for finding the best movers, analyzed Zillow data and came up with some
surprising findings. More homes in Vallejo [[ vuh-LAY-oh]], California, just
north of Berkeley and Oakland, are selling above asking price than anywhere
else in the country. San Francisco is second, followed by Rochester, New
York. San Jose, California is in fourth place with Ithaca, New York in
fifth. In all five cities homes are selling for between one and two-percent
over the asking price.
